How to Get More Real Estate Agents as a Photographer

Real estate photography is a repeat business. A good agent lists many homes a year, and once they trust a photographer they rarely shop around. That means the work is less about finding one-off jobs and more about becoming the photographer a handful of busy agents book without thinking.

Make booking you the easiest option

Agents book between showings, often from their phone. If booking means a phone call and three emails to find a time, they will call whoever answers first. An online booking page where an agent picks a package, chooses an open slot and pays a deposit turns you into the easy option.

  • Clear packages with prices, not "contact for a quote"
  • Add-ons listed upfront: drone, twilight, video, floor plans
  • Real open times, synced with your calendar
  • Confirmation and reminders sent automatically

Be consistent before you are impressive

Agents value predictability: the same look across their listings, the same turnaround, photos that pass MLS rules every time. A consistent style and a reliable schedule win more repeat work than an occasional standout shoot.

Deliver faster than the agent expects

Turnaround is one of the easiest ways to stand out. If your standard is next business day, delivering the evening of the shoot now and then is noticed. See our guide on delivering listing photos and video for the formats agents need.

Work the brokerage, not just the agent

  • Ask agents you already work with to introduce you at their office
  • Offer to present a short "photos that sell" talk at a team meeting
  • Keep a simple price sheet brokerages can pass to new agents
  • Photograph a brokerage's own listings well, and the rest of the office sees it

Ask for referrals at the right moment

The best time to ask is when an agent is happy: right after delivery of a listing that turned out well, or when a home sells quickly. A direct ask ("Do you know another agent who could use a reliable photographer?") works better than a general request.

Be findable where agents and sellers look

  • A Google Business Profile with your service area and recent work
  • A free listing in photographer directories, such as PhotoFinder
  • A simple website with your packages, prices and booking link
  • Examples of your work organized by property type

Stay in touch between listings

Keep a record of every agent, what they usually book and when you last worked together. An agent who has not booked in a couple of months may simply have no listings, or may have found someone else. A short check-in tells you which, and keeps you in mind.

How PhotoCRM helps

PhotoCRM gives you a booking page with packages, add-ons and deposits, calendar sync, and automatic confirmations. Every agent has a client record with their projects and revenue history, so you can see who books often and who has gone quiet. Your profile can also be listed for free in PhotoFinder, our directory where clients find photographers on a map and book straight into their calendar. The free plan includes all of it.
